Privacy and cookies
A simple explanation of the personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, and of your rights.
Lavandaria Alvelos is a self-service laundromat that also offers ironing. This website is purely informational and has no registration forms, user accounts or data collection for marketing purposes.

2. What data we process and why

We do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes, and we do not carry out profiling.
3. How long we keep data
- WhatsApp and email messages: up to 12 months after the last contact, then deleted, unless needed to resolve an ongoing complaint.
- Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by tax law.
- Server logs: for the period set by the hosting provider for security purposes, after which they are deleted automatically.
We do not record phone calls.
4. Third-party services
Some data may be processed by companies that provide services to the website or that visitors choose to use:
- Website hosting provider: stores the website files and server logs, acting as a processor.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you contact us on WhatsApp, your message is also processed by Meta under the WhatsApp privacy policy.
- Google Maps: only loads if you click “Show map”. From then on, the Google privacy policy applies.
Meta and Google may transfer data outside the European Union with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR (for example, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
5. Cookies

Because the website does not use advertising, statistics or tracking cookies, it does not display a cookie consent banner.
6. Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you may request:
- access to your data;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- erasure of your data;
- restriction of processing;
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
- portability of the data you provided to us.
Send your request to geral@lavandariaalvelos.pt. We reply within one month at the latest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
7. Security
The website only runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and does not store data entered by visitors. Access to customer messages is limited to the people who answer them.
